Research opportunities available

Exciting opportunities exist for students and researchers to join this unique new project. Come and be part of the vibrant team undertaking cutting-edge research at the Hidden Vale UQ Wildlife Centre. Set amongst a 5,000ha nature refuge of diverse ecosystems, grazing and ecotourism, the centre has state-of-the-art learning, research and conservation resources including a world-class captive wildlife research and teaching facility.

Projects, including Honours and PhD, are available to start now and will be ongoing.

Long-term research into threatened species conservation, ecosystem dynamics, habitat condition and connectivity, sustainable land management and ecotourism is being developed. Manipulations can include grazing, feral predators, weed control, plantings, fire, human disturbance and others, as well as implementing new technologies for threatened species recovery programs.

Scholarships and research grants are available for successful candidates.
