Apply for support for your undergraduate or postgraduate research project with funding from the Turner Family Foundation.

The Foundation is committed to enabling high-impact research at Hidden Vale Research Station by supporting research students whose projects align with our goals.

This funding is available in five categories:

  • equipment (equipment purchased remains property of Hidden Vale)
  • fieldwork expenses (not including fuel or hiring other research staff)
  • laboratory analysis
  • conference attendance (limited to one registration per student during studies)
  • training.

Approved Hidden Vale students, including Honours and Master’s students and PhD candidates.

We will consider your undergraduate ‘special topic’ research project if your research objectives and funding requests align with our strategic development.

Our research committee will rank applications based on:

  • justification for funding to achieve goals of research
  • applicant’s record relative to opportunity
  • evidence of effort to apply for, or obtain external funding
  • any Hidden Vale research funding applied for, or received previously
  • funding request alignment with Hidden Vale’s strategic direction.
