This scholarship is in addition to an existing UQ scholarship. This is not a full scholarship for your PhD.

This scholarship is open to Doctor of Philosophy candidates researching wildlife conservation in association with the Hidden Vale Project.

To be eligible you must:

  • Complete this PhD full-time and onshore in Australia.
  • Be nominated by an enrolling school or institute at the University of Queensland (UQ).
  • Be assessed by the UQ Graduate School as meeting all conditions for admission to the research higher degree program.
  • Future students will also need to satisfy the entry requirements for Higher Degrees by Research at UQ and conditions for a Research Training Program (RTP) or equivalent living allowance scholarship from UQ’s Graduate School. 
  • Be undertaking research in direct association with the Hidden Vale Project.

Applicants who are current students applicants must be in receipt of a living allowance scholarship of at least $28,092 for the year of study (but indexed annually) to be eligible to receive this top-up.
