Summary
There were 43 species of birds seen at the Billabong and of these seven were only seen once and each of these sighting were only of one bird (i.e.Bronzewing pigeon, Diamond firetail finch, Grey shrike-thrush, Leaden flycatcher, Peregrine falcon, Pheasant coucal and Rufous whistler). In contrast the largest group of birds of the one species were Straw-neck ibis and this was a flock of 20 birds that were seen, only once, flying over the Billabong. The other species of birds where six or more individuals of the one species were seen at the same time were Double barred finch, Rainbow bee-eater, Rainbow lorikeet, Striated pardalote, Torresian crow and Wood ducks.
